"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." (James 1:27)

WE'VE BEEN MATCHED!!

After 5 years of our daughter growing in our hearts and over 4 years of waiting through the adoption process, yesterday we were matched with our daughter, Kylie Hope. I am not allowed yet to post her picture or her chinese name, but she is precious! To be able to see her face after all these years has been quite overwhelming. Kylie is 3 years old and we trust that God has been taking care of her. She has been prayed for and loved by so many people for 4 years. God has been faithful to us, on the mountain top and in the valley. After my beautiful son, Kyler, whom we miss every day, went to heaven, God gave me the desire and then Brad to adopt an orphan. It is all His work and we praise God for calling us to adopt. I am reminded of the verses that the Lord gave me in December 2004, Psalm 37:4-5, "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Him, trust Him, and He will do this." That verse has been so meaningful to me and it is so true. God is real and I cannot praise Him enough for all He has done in my life.

Thank you all for your kind words yesterday, today, and over the years. HOPEfully, this summer we will be traveling to China to bring our little girl home. I will post more info about her as soon as I'm able to.

Kylie Hope--we love you so much and are truly blessed that God has chosen you for our family and that He chose us for you!!
Romans 8:15-17
"For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption. And by him we cry 'Abba, Father.' The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory."
